A Modern Way To Burst For Quality Assurance With Bursting Strength Tester

In this highly competitive world, customers have become more quality conscious and only go for the high quality products to live a highly safe life to buy something best for themselves. It is not possible for the manufacturers to build a customer base without focusing on producing high quality products. This helps the customers to achieve the state of high quality and highly standardized products via various measures. The best means to maintain the quality of the product is to provide best quality packaging  that can safeguard the inner content of the packaging at the time of transportation and warehousing.

Bursting Strength Tester Analogue

When talking about the quality of packaging material, ensuring the quality of the raw material is a must. For the best analysis of the strength of the materials used to manufacture packaging products, Bursting Strength Test is performed on the material. The bursting test is used to find the minimum amount of force which can burst various materials like papers, fabrics, cardboards, multi layered boards, etc. With this test, it’s become very easy for the manufacturers to determine whether the material is perfect for the particular  application or not.

Presto Stantest, a leading manufacturer of testing instruments offers high quality bursting strength testers that provide accurate results to measure the bursting strength of the materials. The instrument strictly adheres to national and international standard test methods.

Measure Impact Strength Of Plastics With Dart Impact Tester

Impact strength is the involuntary property of polymers. As a molecular elasticity, it plays a major role in evaluating the relative stiffness of materials. The stiffness of a material is explained as the capability of the polymer to absorb applied force. Usually, plastic films are used for packing purpose which can undergo various stages of wear and tear. Hence, Strength of the impact resistance of plastic film is recognized to conclude the quality and to make the film withstand the impact load. This test method includes all the determinate of the force that can damage the plastic under some determined conditions when come in contact with the free falling dart. The force is expressed in terms of weight of mass directly falling from a determined height which can result in 50 percent failure of the sample.

Presto Stantest provides an extensive range of impact testers for different plastics, sheets, films, decorative laminates, roofing sheets with the wide range of weight of darts along with the facility of setting different height of fall with less effort. The Presto’s dart impact tester comprises of an electromagnetic release mechanism that helps to set light and heavy weight dart. Weights ranging from 5 grams to 500 grams are supplied with the machine. Also the height of the dart can be set as per the requirement at 220mm, 660mm and 1524mm. Moreover, a high tech vacuum pump is also provided with the testing equipment as an optional accessory and clamping system is provided to tightly clamp the film on the instrument for reliable and accurate results. Also, the instrument comprises of a digital counter to view the highly precise results in digital format.

Different Types of Dead Weight Testers

Dead weight testers are the well-known laboratory testing equipment which uses noticeable weights to exert pressure to a lubricant for measuring the precision of readings from a pressure gauge. DWT or Dead Weight Tester is a calibrated standard test method that uses a piston cylinder on which a weight is positioned to make a balance with an exerted force on the piston. Dead weight testers are also known as primary standard test methods which mean that the pressure measured by the equipment is expressed in other units of mass, length, and time. Usually, dead weight testers are used in calibration laboratories to standardize pressure transfer standards like electronic force measuring devices.

Generally, there are three different types of dead weight testers which are divided by the medium which is calculated and the lubricant on the basis of which various measurement are done, namely, Gas operated gas lubricated Piston cylinder units (PCU), Gas operated oil lubricated Piston cylinder units, oil operated oil lubricated PCU’s. Here are

some points that need to be considered while making use of different lubricants:

1)      Gas – Gas – Before making use of it, make sure the PCU is clean as the operation of the PCU is responsive to contamination.

2)      Gas – Oil – Oil of the PCU usually leaks in the gas circuit of the dead weight tester. Hence, a small reservoir is provided in the system. Hence, before commencing the calibration, it is good practice to clean the reservoir.

3)      Oil – Oil – Make sure that the DUT oil will not come in contact with the Dead weight tester oil, for high accuracy measurement. Friction can be minimized by rotating the piston.
Presto offers Dead Weight Tester to test the quality of Pet and Preform bottles. These are highly accurate and stable pressure standards widely used in industrial laboratories, research institutes and in academia to standardize pressure measurement devices like Pressure Gauges, Vacuum Gauges, Transmitters, Pressure Transducers, Recorders, etc.
